Why the difference? Because the $ 8.95 option is billed at one time, our credit card processing and book keeping costs are lower, and we pass these savings down to the customers.




Member Posting Privledges & Read Only Restrictions

Are all members allowed to post on OUInsider and the Recruiting Forum?

All users on OUInsider must abide by our posting rules - which always include a restriction on obscenity in any form, but also include an expectation of courtesy and proper behavior toward others.

At times, even Members may 'cross a line,' and when they do, they retain the right to read all premium content, but they forfeit their posting privileges, which may or may not be reinstated.

This site is meant to be a source of information on OU athletics, not a constant bar room brawl of verbal assaults between posters. Therefore, we reserve the right to place ANY member on a "READ ONLY' status.

In short, Membership here entitles users to READ all information, but it does not automatically include the right to engage in campaigns that are continually negative toward the staff and the reports contained here; or in abusive verbal attacks and insults on other users that may offer different opinions.


Does OUInsider still publish Sooners Illustrated Magazine?
As a result of our separation from Scout, we no longer publish Sooners Illustrated magazine. Some of our annual members received it as part of their subscription package.

The magazine is now under the direction of Terry Tush of GoPokes.com.

Titles & Post Counts from 'Old Site'
We know Post Counts are important to some people and we are trying to re-construct them and the associated titles from the old OU Insider (Scout). 

Post Counts: We may just do it for members as they all must be re-constructed by hand. And to do it, we'd have to have each member go over to Scout and to check their last post count, (or make a new one), and then report that number here.

Join Date: 
We do have 'join dates' in our records as this date is not a variable.

If Post Counts are not possible to restore, we will substitute the date you first came on OU Insider -- as that's a truer picture of a users real status here. Only one in 55 visitors on any given day actually posts. (Some of our best members have less that 10 posts over 7 years).

Please understand that this project will take time.


How do I Cancel Scout?

How do I cancel Scout?

Call 888 979-0979.That's a toll free number, and is answered 9-5 Pacific Time (11 - 7CST) Monday-Friday. (Please be polite, these people are under enormous pressure to keep you on Scout).

What if Scout REFUSES to cancel me, or does not answer?

We don't think Scout will refuse anyone. A call is always best, (888 979-0979). However IF you can not get through after a couple of attempts during their business hours, (PST), you might e-mail your CANCELATION request to memberservices@scout.com.

IMPORTANT:In the e-Mail, include your NAME; your USER NAME (ie 'SoonerBill'), and the e-Mail ADDRESS that YOU ARE REGISTERED with, (That's how Scout recognizes you, even if that e-mail address is dormant or no longer in use).

Tell Scout to CANCEL your subscription; NOT to renew it and to send you confirmation of the action to your current e-mail.

Besure to print a copy of the e-Mail for your records. This is your onlydefense with the credit card company if Scout re-bills you.
